I’ve decided that I’m going to start making tumblr entries for the things I watch. I’ll try and do it for everything I watch but, well, I was a fucking lot of things.
I’ll post images, gifs or even a mini-review of what I’m watching.
First up is Showgirls, the 1995 film by Paul Verhoeven which was intended as the break-through role of Elizabeth Berkley. Unfortunately for her the film suffered from a nonsensical script and a complete lack of relatable or even likeable characters. Oh, and the fact that she over-acts like she’s from a world that knows no social restraints. Nomi, the lead character, flails over the screen in bi-polar fits of frenzy in a way that makes this one of my favourite ‘So-bad-its-good’ movies of all time. In one word: Terri-brill.*
Be warned: The following images may disturb some viewers.
Just remember, when you lick a pole you’re licking every Stripper that pole has been with and everyone those Strippers have been with…
They foreshadow this scene with a very similar lap-dance earlier in the film but nothing, I mean nothing can prepare you for the magnificence.
*Terri-brill: A combination of ‘Terrible’ and ‘Brilliant’ that implies the object in question is both of these things.
